The Dane Axe is a battle axe used mostly during the period between the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. Catalogued in Petersen's typology as a Type M axe head. This axehead is based on the find from Langeid, and for historical accuracy please consider shafting on a bronze collar.

Through the course of the 10th–11th centuries, it was popular in areas outside Scandinavia where the Viking influence was strong, such as England, Ireland and Normandy.

It just arrived today and I love it!
It is of great quality and seems sturdy and strong.
It is also surprisingly light which is helpful to a smaller person like myself who is just starting out
Like the description stated, the edges are quite sharp for combat standards and I recommend rounding them off slightly if intending to use in combat for safety.
I can't wait to try it out in the ring.
