Honour the gods in true Viking fashion with this wonderfully decorated seax. Featuring Thor's hammer Mjölnir proudly etched on the bone handle, with every cut of this true Viking knife you will invoke the power and protection that only Thor can provide.

With a sharp edge, this knife is practical and can be used just as it would have been a thousand years ago. It features a full tang, high carbon steel blade fitted to a polished wooden hilt and secured with brass end cap, with Thor's hammer carved into the bone at the neck. Not only that, but this Viking blade also comes with a beautifully decorated scabbard replete with brass plating that is etched with patterning common on many Viking relics, torcs, and other jewellery.

In general, the seax was a versatile, single edged blade used by Germanic and Scandinavian cultures from the early Migration Period through the Viking Age, or roughly the 5thC through to the 11thC. The term 'seax' means 'cutting tool' or 'knife' in Old English, and was used for food preparation, cutting, carving, and then later warfare.

This Viking seax manages to be not only a sharp, practical and robust historical weapon, but also a pure work of art and style with a solid steel blade, etched bone and polished wood handle, and a brass plated and decorated thick leather scabbard. This Viking seax truly has it all.
